Yes, esewa is absolutely free, you can register online at https://esewa.com.np.
2. Do I need to have a bank account to register with esewa?
No, you do not need to have a bank account to register with esewa.
3. Why do I need to prefund my esewa account?
Esewa is a payment gateway so you have to prefund your esewa account before you make transactions online. Using Creditcards and Bank accounts online is always risky.
4. How can I prefund/Recharge my eSewa Account?
You can use esewa recharge cards, internet banking of partner banks or counter deposit in partner banks to recharge your esewa account.
5. Where can I buy esewa recharge cards?
Esewa recharge cards will be available in all partner banks counters. Currently they are available in all laxmi bank counters.
6. Do I need to maintain some balance in esewa to be able to use esewa?
No, you do not need to maintain minimum balance in esewa. Actually he do not advise you to maintain very high balance in esewa, only load sufficient balance that you are going to transact in the near future.
7. Is esewa a service only for Laxmi Bank Customers?
No, esewa is a service for all. We are working to make this facilitiy available to customers of other banks as well. But currently we have a well tested system in place with laxmi bank. We are still testing in other bank. Other banks will be added gradually once we complete our testing.
8. Do you have plans to add UTL and MeroMobile in your services?
Yes, we are currently working to add both MeroMobile and UTL, we will add them as soon as we complete our process.
9. Will I get my money back if I ever want to discontinue using esewa?
Yes, You can withdraw amount from esewa to your bank account, you can also request for a cheque from esewa if you want your money back.
10. Will I have to pay some extra to make transactions through esewa?
No you will not have to pay extra to make your payments.
11. Is this service only available in Kathmandu?
No. customer all over Nepal can use this service as long as the services are applicable for them.
12. I cannot login to my esewa account eventhough I provided the correct email and password, what is the problem?
Esewa does not allow multiple logins so you may be still logged in other machine or other browser or you may have closed the browser without properly logging out of esewa. Please close all browsers and try after 10 mins.
13. I tried to register for esewa but I did not receive any confirmation mail?
You may have received the mail in your spam, please check your spam folder.
14. I transferred some amount from my internet banking to esewa account, but I cannot see the update in esewa?
There could be many reasons for this, communication link failure between partner bank and esewa or you may have provided a wrong email address. Please call live support for assistance in such case.
